About us

My name is Tiggy and I welcome you to these pages (on the proviso that you are not going to disturb my important nap time).

The rest of the Holbeche Family comprises Pip, Rachel, and Simon. Until recently there was also a small gang of chickens, half of which were rescue chickens from the British Hen Welfare Trust but the foxes got peckish. Personally I prefer the quiet non-beaky garden but the others are being a bit mopey about it.

We reside in the lovely city of Bath, and when not busy in my employ the humans seems to enjoy Music, Astronomy, Theatre, Books, Maths amongst other things

Music

We’re really lucky to live somewhere with lots of music events happening nearby. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in different orchestras, ensembles, and other musical groups.

There are regular music nights at various local pubs, lots of concerts at larger venues and the Bath Music Festival each year.

Stars

Bath has a fantastic astronomy community and a rich astronomical heritage. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved through local astronomy groups, public stargazing events, talks, and workshops.

You can also visit the Herschel Museum of Astronomy where William Herschel discovered the planet Uranus from in March 1781.
