I was contacted earlier in the year by an ex-colleague from the Herschel Museum of Astronomy about an opportunity to support events surrounding Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon visit to Bath in winter 2021.
Had to say Yes of course and so it’s been a busy run up to the installation from 20th November to 24th December 2021 in Bath Abbey working with friends in the Bath Astronomers to form a group of “Moon experts” to be on hand during Sunday and Monday night evening opening events.
With up to 600 people per visit, it has been a manic event to staff alongside the volunteers and staff of Bath Abbey but it is so rewarding to chat to people and get their impressions and feelings about our closest celestial neighbour.
